The vision of North Park Church (NPC) is to “Make disciples of Jesus who WORSHIP God passionately, CONNECT with each other in caring community, and IMPACT the world through word and deed.”  Student Ministry (SM) is designed to advance that vision or something congruent with it among our students (6^th-12^th grades).

The Interim Student Ministry Administrator will provide administrative support for North Park’s ministry to middle and high school students.  The main duties will be to guide and assist the volunteer team with scheduling and organizing until the elders decide a future course for the ministry.  Attendance at all youth group meetings and events is expected.

Beginning date – as soon as possible.
Salary: $20,000
Hours: 20-25 a week
Reports to: Associate Pastor (attendance at weekly staff meetings is optional)

Note

This is an interim position, which means it is only in existence while there is an absence of a senior pastor at NPC.  Once a new senior pastor has been hired and a direction for the ministry has been decided by the elders, this position may be terminated with at least 30 days prior notification.

 Specific Duties

1. Coordinates volunteer team meetings (at least quarterly) to establish plans for the ministry.
2. Schedule and coordinate the elements of the weekly student ministry meetings (games, speakers, discussion groups, etc.).
3. Oversee the organization and execution of the fall student retreat.
4. Organize, promote, and execute a summer missions trip.
5. Recruit and organize for student ministry small groups and student leaders.
6. Mentor teens as time allows.
