Last Question Standing // Matthew 22:15-46

The religious leaders try to trap Jesus with three series of questions, each approaching topics that breed controversy today: politics, eschatology, and ethics. Jesus evades the traps by reorienting our thinking about these topics. He then silences his questioners with the ultimate question: "What do you think about the Christ?" The particular example Jesus uses from Psalm 110 will wrap up this whole section by giving us a Christ-centered understanding of politics, eschatology, and ethics.
